A science fair is an educational event where students showcase their scientific investigations, experiments, and projects to a wider audience. It serves as a platform for young scientists to demonstrate their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
The purpose of a science fair is to encourage a love for science and foster a deeper understanding of the scientific method. Students select a topic of interest, formulate a hypothesis, conduct experiments or research, analyze data, and draw conclusions. They then present their findings through visually appealing displays and oral presentations.
This year at the Sri UCSI Springhill campus science fair, we had many new and interesting experiments done by our students. They had a carbon snake experiment by the secondary kids, a volcano eruption by the primary kids, and many more. Students explained their findings to the judges and showcased them too. Students were able to visit other booths to see their experiment and were also able to try on the experiment. Students had a lot of fun, and it was an interactive learning experience.
