On October 16th, the world celebrates World Food Day. This momentous occasion is dedicated to raising awareness about the global challenges surrounding food security and nutrition.

World Food Day is not just a day for celebration. Still, it is a call to action for individuals, communities, and nations worldwide to work together to address the critical issue of hunger and malnutrition. This year’s theme, “Nourishing Our World for a Brighter Future,” resonates strongly with the need for collaboration and innovation to pursue a world without hunger.

In Sekolah Sri UCSI Springhill, we recognized the importance of World Food Day and remain committed to our mission of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). We are dedicated to making a difference and contributing to a world where everyone can access safe, healthy, and nutritious food.

We celebrated World Food Day with 2 activities.

– Food Drive: Everyone donated non-perishable items from 16th October to 20th October 2023. We collected all these items and donated them to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Seremban last Friday, October 20, 2023.

– ‘Cooking without Fire’ Competition: Each class sent a team to participate from 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. Students are given 1 hour to complete the task.
