Muzzafar Amir Bin Mohd Khalil

Bahasa Melayu and KIFA Teacher

Amir graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling from Sultan Azlan Shah University. He has a year in education service as an SPM contract teacher in Kuala Kangsar, Perak and is a psychologist at the National Mental Health Center of Excellence in Cyberjaya, Selangor. Throughout his teaching career, Amir learned how to manage students’ emotions and mental health in the classroom. This is very important to promote a conducive tertiary learning environment. One of the main tactics is to apply the emotional development of students before starting teaching and learning to help students create motivation before starting class, as well as form a student’s life-study balance.

Amir’s efforts in helping students in terms of managing students’ emotions and motivation in their studies were successful at his previous school. He also has experience as a speaker and facilitator for school programme at the national level. During this period, he provides services in terms of looking at students’ competencies in terms of choosing career fields and personalities when students have completed their studies at the school level and want to continue their studies at a higher level, etc.

Amir likes to make learning fun by encouraging students to actively participate in sporting events, which leads students to be proactive. She also incorporates real-life situations and her experiences into her teaching plans to increase her students’ retention, motivation, and interest in the subject while maximizing the learning experience. In addition, he always motivates and encourages his students to be confident in themselves and reach their potential. He places realistic expectations for all students because he believes it will affect their achievement.

As young students have so much towards the technology of globalization, Malay language education and KIFA provide a benchmark that can keep up with the times so that it can help students in learning the field of good communication. Amir’s role as a Malay Language and KIFA primary teacher is to teach students with basic skills and develop students’ higher-level thinking as well as an approach to language arts to inspire students.

Amir’s responsibility as a teacher is not only to impart knowledge in the classroom, but also to educate students about moral values and a disciplined student attitude that helps in students’ lives. He also believes that the need for moral values and discipline should arise in the early stages of a student’s life in order to produce quality students.
